Phlebology

The most actual contemporary problem of phlebology is varicose veins of the lower extremities. Varicose veins reduce the quality of life ranging from aesthetic problems to severe disability with the development of trophic disorders and other complications.

Currently, the most effective method of varicose vein disease treatment is endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), the distinguishing features of which are:

  • reliability, the operation is carried out under ultrasound control

Today, the use of 1.55 µm wavelength is the "gold standard" for low-invasive treatment of varicose veins, and 1.94 µm is the most promising wavelength of laser radiation for endovenous laser coagulation

The second problem of phlebology is various manifestations of vascular skin pathology, which include:

  • telangiectasia
  • Capillary angiodysplasia, wine spots, etc.
  • cavernous hemangiomas

These types of pathologies usually do not pose a threat to human health, at the same time they often become an aesthetic problem for both men and women.

Teleangiectasias and other shallow blood accumulations are most comfortably treated with percutaneous laser photocoagulation.
